Add insurance to the order total based on rates you
establish in your Miva Merchant admin. This module is for MIVA Merchant 5.x. We also have the corresponding module for an older version of Merchant.
The module admin interface allows you to construct a table of
ranges of subtotal values with corresponding insurance
charge. You also can select to make the insurance cost a
taxable entity.
The store owner can give the customer the choice to accept
or reject insurance coverage or he can make the insurance a
mandatory charge.
Limitation: This table is based on the subtotal and is
not related to the method of shipping. If your shipping methods
do not charge insurance uniformally, this module will not be able to differentiate between them.
