Access to the store can be restricted, requiring customers to login (or create an account) before being allowed to browse the store. Admittance can be restricted for all store pages or for only the product-related pages.

Choose From Two Levels of Access Restriction:

• Login Required at Storefront - this option restricts all access to all store pages.
• Login Required to View Products - this option allows open access to store front and any other non-product screens.

The "Login Required to View Products" options prevents customers that are not logged into an account from accessing the Product List (PLST), Product Display (PROD), Category (CTGY), Search (SRCH), or Basket Contents (BASK) screens. This options allows access to the Storefront (SFNT) or any custom pages. This is a good option to use for merchants who want to use the Storefront and custom pages to display information for all customers.

The access restriction is handled at the system level, providing much more reliable security than can be achieved at the template level.
